Peer Review and Publication Policy

CUIJR Review Policy

  1. Every submitted manuscript is first checked to ensure that it aligns with the journal’s scope. If it does not fall within the journal’s focus areas, the Editor-in-Chief may issue an immediate desk rejection without initiating the full review process.
  2. An initial administrative screening is then conducted. During this stage, the submission is checked for completeness, including whether all required fields in the submission form are properly answered and documented. The manuscript must be written clearly and in English. If any of these basic requirements are not met, the manuscript is returned to the authors for necessary corrections before the review process can begin.
  3. Manuscripts submitted to regular issues are assigned to an appropriate editor by the Editor-in-Chief, while submissions to special issues are forwarded directly to the designated Guest Editors.
  4. The assigned editor (Editor-in-Chief or Guest Editor for special issues) selects a minimum of two independent reviewers to evaluate the manuscript.
  5. Reviewers provide their assessments, along with recommendations and suggestions aimed at improving the quality of the manuscript.
  6. Based on the reviewers’ reports and their own evaluation, the Editor-in-Chief or Guest Editor recommends whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
  7. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection after considering all reviewer comments and editorial evaluations..
  8. If the manuscript requires revision, the authors must resubmit the revised version, after which the review process may be repeated starting from the administrative check.

Note: Manuscripts submitted for conference proceedings may follow a different review process, which may involve Guest Editors, conference organizers, or scientific committees. Authors contributing to such publications may request detailed information about the specific review procedures from the editorial office.
